HEXILAK GEL FOR SCARS | 20g/0.71oz

Properties and indications:

Hexilak gel® has bactericidal activity and is used for the topical treatment of scars resulting from acne, operations, burns, stretch marks, or amputation of the breast.

It includes next three active ingredients:

• onion extract (Allium cepa) – very good restores damaged skin, this natural substance perfectly copes with keloid scars and fairly effective in the fight against hypertrophic scars;
• heparin sodium – reduces inflammation and provides antithrombotic effect, and also improves the tissue hydration;
• allantoin – moisturizes, promotes epithelialization and formation of elastic skin surface and also counteracts the development of keloid scars and possesses strong antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial activity.

Composition:

each gramm contains:

• allium cepa extract – 0.1 g;
• heparin sodium IP – 50 I.U;
• allantoin gel IP – 0.01 g;
• in a gel base q.s.

Contraindications:

hypersensitivity or allergic reactions to the active substances or any of the ingredients of the gel.

Side effects of the preparation

Generally very well tolerated.

Allergic reactions are extremely rare, but possible.

Dosage and how to use:

• before use, consult your doctor;
• apply it on the affected area 3-4 times a day;
• after wash your hands;
• the result usually requires several weeks of continuous treatment, so that you can see a reduction (disappearance) of scars;
• second course should be agreed with your doctor.
