Properties and indications:

Retin A Forte gel is a combination of 0.025% or 0.05% tretinoin and clindamycin phosphate 0.1% in one tube;

clindamycin is a local antibiotic prescribed for topical treatment of acne;
-
tretinoin is a retinoid derivative of Vitamin A, which constantly renews skin cells;
-
cleans and prevents the spread of bacteria Propionibacterium acnes for a long period;
-
reduces excessive fat content and treats inflammatory elements of acne;
-
FDA – approved.

Composition:

tretinoin – 0.025% (0.25 mg) or 0.05% (0.5 mg) - select please combination that you need

clindamycin phosphate USP – 1% gel-based.
Contraindications:
-
age up to 12 years;
-
pregnancy and lactation;
-
contraindicated in people with hypersensitivity to drugs containing clindamycin or tretinoin;
-
regional enteritis;
-
ulcerative colitis;
-
atopy, acute inflammatory (and eczematous) skin lesions (dermatitis, seborrhea, etc.);
-
rosacea;
-
skin lesions (wounds, burns, etc.);
-
photosensitivity;
-
diseases of the rectum;
-
hypersensitivity to any of the components of the cream (discontinue use and consult your doctor if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: hives, shortness of breath, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat).
Side effects:
-
Often: burning, dryness and peeling, redness and increased susceptibility to sunlight and UV rays;
-
Less commonly: erythema, itching, temporary hyperpigmentation and hypopigmentation (possible with repeated use of tretinoin);
-
Rarely: allergic contact dermatitis, diarrhea, bloody diarrhea and colitis (including pseudomembranous colitis), abdominal pain and gastrointestinal upset, gram-negative folliculitis.
Warning
If diarrhea occurs, stop use. Diarrhea, bloody diarrhea and colitis have been reported in several cases when using the gel. Symptoms may occur several days, weeks, or months after starting clindamycin therapy. They were also observed for up to several weeks after discontinuation of therapy.
Dosage / How to use:
-
apply to clean and dry skin 1 time per day in the evening (or as directed by a doctor);
-
after it, be sure to wash your hands;
-
avoid using other products on treated areas (at least 1 hour after application);
-
if there is dryness, use a moisturizer.
Special instructions:
-
don’t apply to wounds, burns or eczematous skin, dermatitis or with rosacea also after irritating procedures (peeling, etc.) and don’t use together with irritating agents (sulfur, alcohol, acids, etc.);
-
in case of contact with the mucous membranes of the mouth, rinse with water;
-
for any of the signs of allergies – consult a doctor immediately;
Storage:

at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C;
-
don’t freeze and keep the tube away from fire;
-
keep out of the reach of children.
